We’ve had the first clear, sunny and sparkling day on the island for some time. Tiree’s been hit by a succession of nameless storms since the beginning of January. Brendan was our only named storm. Ciara is next – perhaps waiting in the wings to arrive before the storm season ends! Despite their innominate status some of Brendan’s close relatives have been pounding the island coast for the last four weeks – some have been almost as violent and almost as destructive. It all makes for an exciting time living on the coast. Hopefully, by the time the first guests arrive the weather will have settled and the view from the cottage will be calm and serene.
